12-Week ZOOM GROUP

NEXT GROUP: Tuesdays, 6:30 p.m. CST, Sept. 22nd - Dec. 15th. If this does not work for you, please reach out as additional groups will be formed.

It’s understandable that when your child identifies as LGBTQ, much of your attention becomes focused on them—what they believe, the choices they make, and what their future may hold. In the midst of concern for your child, it can be easy to lose sight of your own mental and emotional well-being and what God may want to do in you.

Oxygen Masks On: Parents First shifts some of that attention back to you. Over 12 weeks, you’ll have space to process difficult emotions and learn from other parents walking a similar road. You’ll be encouraged to recover parts of your own life that may have been pushed aside, clarify what is—and isn’t—your responsibility when it comes to your child, learn to recognize and regulate your emotional reactions, and examine patterns of thinking and responding that may be affecting you and your relationship with your child.

Payment: $240 per person / $400 household rate (two family members). Monthly payment plans are available for a small additional fee. Scholarships may be available. Please don’t let finances keep you from reaching out.

Your group will be led by Kim Jones. Drawing from her personal struggles with same-sex attraction, trauma-informed training, and more than 2,000 hours of facilitating small groups, Kim helps parents navigate difficult family conversations with compassion, wisdom, and a commitment to biblical truth.

You cannot control every choice your child makes. But you can learn to respond with greater calm, wisdom, and intentionality—remaining connected to your faith, your values, and the kind of parent you want to be, regardless of where your child is on their journey.
